In today’s roundup there’s news of a Blogger being sued, MSN Search new features, Google’s new advertising model, anonymizing your Bittorrent transfers and more.

First to the blogger news.  Aaron Wall of SEOBook.com is being sued by another SEO firm called Traffic Power.  Apparently Mr. Wall allowed comments that were less than positive about the other firm.  What else is interesting is that this link is from the Wall Street Journal.  Who would have thought such a story would make the WSJ?

MSN now gives you the ability to search for feeds.  This is great as no one else seems to be able to do this yet.  Simply using “feed:” plus your query will show you sites with feeds.

In other Microsoft news, the company has bought a VOIP software manufacturer.  The company claims that their software will allow computer to phone calls.  Microsoft expects to have the software integrated into MSN messenger by the end of the year.  This is sure to raise the stakes on other similar applications like Yahoo! messenger and Google Talk.

Speaking of Google...

Using your mobile device you can now search more quickly for common things like movies, weather and stock quotes.  Simply enter [movies] and a location gives you local movie listings.

Google is also expanding it’s advertising opportunities.  Yet another Google beta project.  This time Google is offering print ads to AdWords advertisers.  It sounds like a good deal too as some AdWords advertisers are saying they’ve tried to use similar print advertising from the same magazines before but the cost was much higher than what Google is currently offering.

Finally today the Bittorrent news.  With all the concern over potentially getting sued by movie studios and music producers, About.com has produced an article on how to download via Bittorrent anonymously.  Essentially you would use proxies to make yourself anonymous.  It’s kinda surprising to see such an article on About as they usually have more “mainstream” advice.
