It was a very quite day today and there are only three things to report.  The first has to do with AOL’s new Beta Central site, the second involves some new Google AdWords tests which were discovered while the third talks about some recent spammer news.

First, to the AOL Beta Central site.  Here you will find the new products and services AOL is offering.  The site offers many downloads and even has an RSS feed to which you can subscribe and find out as soon as new products are released.

A forum post points to new Google AdWords tests.  Apparently the company is trying alternative color backgrounds.  There’s a good screenshot at SEO Roundtable.

Finally today we’ve learned that three spammers have been indicted on 9 charges relating to the Can-Spam act. Investigators say that from January through June of 2004, AOL received more than 600,000 complaints regarding obscene e-mail that allegedly had been sent by the defendants.  This will be one case to watch.

Well, that’s all I could find for today.  Be sure to check back on Monday for more news.
