Today Google’s Adsense anounced that it will now allow 3 different ad units per page, wich is a big difference considering in the past the guidelines limited it to 1 per page.

Adsense states that this new option will allow webmasters to “further monetize” web pages and claims none of the ads will be duplicates. Also mentioned was that the ad units can all be different sizes and colors.

In other Adsense news, ads are now “collapsable” as well. Google states “when targeted ads aren’t available for an ad unit, the collapsing ad unit feature will shrink the empty ad unit, so that blank ad spaces are eliminated from your page.”
