I’ve been asked on many occasions how to link static versions of search results page.

Just wanted to make a quick post to let readers know that Big Daddy - Google’s new infrastructure - is starting to make its way into the regular index.  I have noticed on a few sites both large increases and decreases in incoming links, pages indexed and even rankings.  Plus there’s lots of chatter on many SEO forums about this.

In light of that my first response is “don’t panic.” Like any Google change, algo or not, this is still early in the process.  It will likely take another week, probably more, to level out.

I know it’s hard to do but you gotta just sit on your hands and resist the urge to make changes until this upgrade is finished.

In this article I answer these questions and also look at the first of the three software packages.

I recently read an article explaining how, if telcos get their way, those web properties that pay for the right will load faster than their competitors.

In this article I look at the implications of this proposal and what it could mean to the web.

There is an interesting story being written.  It’s a kind of David and Goliath story except both opponents are Goliaths.

The US government is trying to get Google and other search engines to turn over data from their databases.  Google is the only one to yet comply to the request.

In this article I look at what this could mean to us:  The users as well as looking at what Google is doing and the impact it will have.

As an SEM it occurred to me recently that I tell a lot of people what to do with their sites, however like most SEM’s I don’t usually tell them how.

Our industry has grown to the point where many of us are merely consultants.  We recommend adding feeds or tags or blogs to their site yet we rarely tell them how to do this.

Therefore I decided to start providing some how to articles.  And as my first how to I will explain a couple ways to use includes to make site management a little easier.
